Artist Statement: “Lego is a massive business empire, and a great cultural icon. The ever popular plastic brick toys have become a universal symbol of mass production. This installation is a whimsical exploration of modern consumer culture and the associations and meanings that we assign to objects and colour. Lego pieces are transformed and arranged into an artful composition; by playing with form and scale, and by stripping away their iconic colour, our ways of seeing are also transformed.”
