Artist Statement: “A botanical construction featuring an intricate arrangement of brightly coloured foliage shot using a reference plane view. This creation is part of a Mondrian-esque still life series created with geometric abstraction, reducing the essentials of form and colour. Nature is wild and unpredictable. This piece contradicts the wild and unpredictable nature by illustrating natural elements in a carefully constructed, linear, and grid-like formation. Bright primary colours are used to create a naturally abstract art canvas.”
