Artist statement.
“This work communicates literal and figurative messages. An amusing portrayal of a very serious subject presents a fascinating contradiction. It is not intended that the artwork dictate or place blame. Instead, the work is a channel for reflection on an extremely important issue, mirroring the destabilization of our environment. Presenting issues in a candid and humorous way can help to simplify complex meanings, allowing for easier comprehension and understanding.”
1 week to go…
In one week I’m having an exhibition at Mouche Gallery in Beverly Hills. So today I’m doing some preparations…some stressing…and some freaking out.

White and colour pixels
Artist statement.
“This series is the result of an exploration into the complex composition of an image. A digital photograph is comprised of pixels that appear as dots. Similarly, a painting is the sum of many brushstrokes. When I arrange my installations, I use common and literal objects, such as flowers and candy. Each individual flower or piece of candy, or other piece of material, is representative of a pixel or a brushstroke. It could be considered ‘painting with flowers’. The viewer can choose to either see the subject, such as a dot in this work (a highly divers symbol) , or the substance from which it is constructed, such as flowers. The artworks; A Brushstroke of White & A Brushstroke of Colour and White Pixels & Colour Pixels acknowledge the fundamental and essential building block elements of the image; the pixel and the brushstroke.”
Work In progress: “COLOUR PIXELS”
Color Pixels might be one of my favorite projects. Plus the smell of flowers is a nice change to the usual smell of spray paint in the studio.
